Collective impact.
grenzenlos is a cross-organizational association of former volunteers. We facilitate the exchange of experiences and advocate for the interests of international volunteers and alumni. In doing so, we maintain close contact with alumni associations, sending organizations, and representatives at the political level. Our association was founded in 1999 and currently has about 70 members.
Diverse and individual—yet unifying—are the experiences volunteers have gained during their time abroad. grenzenlos provides a framework for civic engagement linked to volunteer service. In the past, we have demonstrated this through projects such as the Wandel-Fibel or the portal MeinFreiwilligendienst.de. In addition, the association has contributed significantly to the development of the weltwärts volunteer service. Among other things, we advocated for the inclusion of the South-North component in the weltwärts program in 2013.

Jährlich findet die undjetzt?!-Konferenz statt, die sich mit Themen wie sozial-ökologischem Wandel und einem guten Leben für alle auseinandersetzt und neue Formen des Miteinanders ausprobiert.
Politische Freiwilligenvertretung Internationaler Freiwilligendienste (PFIF)
Seit 2012 vertreten wir aktuelle und ehemalige weltwärts-Freiwillige und bringen unsere Perspektiven in die Gremien des Programms mit ein.
Vernetzung und weltwärts Community.
Wir setzen uns für die Vernetzung von Rückkehrer*innen (verschiedener) internationaler Freiwilligendienste ein und möchten so deren ehrenamtliches Engagement fördern. Dazu haben wir zum Beispiel die soziale Plattform Worldwide-Network (WWN) erstellt.
Das WWN dient auch als digitaler Raum für die weltwärts Community. Die Community ist ein relativ neuer Arbeitsbereich von grenzenlos, in dem wir in Kooperation mit Engagement Global die Stärkung und Aktivierung der weltwärts Ehemaligen durch eine lebendige Community fördern. Hier passiert gerade super viel, also stay tuned über unsere Socials und sei Teil dieser inspirierenden Gemeinschaft! Zudem organisieren wir thematische Workshops, z.B. zu Themen des globalen und transformativen Lernens.
Verwaltung
Ohne unsere Vereinsinfrastruktur wäre all die vielfältige Arbeit nicht möglich. Auch diese muss zu einem gewissen Maße verwaltet werden.
