    Laura und Juan Camilo – Traditionelles Wissen von kolumbianischen Frauen im ländlichen Raum fördern

    Juan Camilo Holguín und Laura Sofía Cuervo haben 2023/24 ihren Freiwilligendienst in Deutschland absolviert. Schon während dieser Zeit reifte in ihnen der Wunsch, ihrer Community in Buga, Kolumbien, etwas zurückzugeben. 2025 gründeten sie das Projekt „Wohlbefinden sichern und Wissen ländlicher Frauen in Santa Lucía stärken“, das die ländliche Gemeinschaft in der Region Monterrey (Raum Buga) unterstützt. Gemeinsam mit der Kleinbäuerinnen-Vereinigung ASOMUCANSA (Asociación de Mujeres Campesinas de Santa Lucía) setzen sie ein Projekt um, das Frauen im ländlichen Raum stärkt – durch Wissen, Leadership und nachhaltiges Wirtschaften.

    Im Projekt erhalten 15 Bäuerinnen in Santa Lucía die Chance, ihre Führungsfähigkeiten, unternehmerischen Kompetenzen und ihr traditionelles Wissen gezielt zu mnutzen. In Workshops zu Unternehmertum, nachhaltiger Landwirtschaft und ökologischer Produktion wird ihre wirtschaftliche Selbstständigkeit gefördert.

    In der Region Monterrey (Buga) sind Frauen oft von struktureller Ungleichheit betroffen: Sie haben begrenzten Zugang zu Ressourcen, Märkten und ihre Rolle in der Gemeinschaft wird oftmals nicht anerkannt. Hier setzt das Projekt an: Es fördert nicht nur persönliche und wirtschaftliche Entwicklung, sondern bewahrt auch kulturelles Erbe und schafft langfristige Perspektiven für die Familien. Durch Gemeinschaftsgärten, den Verkauf selbst hergestellter Produkte und den Aufbau von Support-Netzwerken entstehen neue Einkommensquellen und ein stärkerer sozialer Zusammenhalt.

    In einem ganzheitlichen Ansatz – mit Teilhabe, Wissensvermittlung, Netzwerkbildung und Förderung des Wohlbefindens – werden 15 Frauen direkt begleitet, während rund 60 weitere Familienmitglieder indirekt profitieren. Das Ziel: Eine selbstbestimmte, widerstandsfähige Gemeinschaft, die ihr Wissen teilt und die ländliche Entwicklung in Kolumbien aktiv mitgestaltet.

    Aktuell suchen wir nach passenden Fördermöglichkeiten für das Projekt. Jede Community-Mitgliedschaft bringt uns der Umsetzung ein Stück näher – seid dabei!

We will have two dates – one for Spanisch speakers (27.4.) and one for English speakers (20.4.). Check out all information below.

    Have you participated in a South–North volunteering program and are considering staying in Germany or returning at a later stage?
    We warmly invite you to a friendly and informative online session, where we will share general orientation on possible pathways after volunteering.

    What we will cover:
    • General guidance on options to stay in Germany or return
    • Basic information on changing residence status and administrative procedures
    • Introduction to the recognition of degrees and qualifications
    • References to advisory services, projects, and support structures
      (job search, recognition, legal orientation)
    • Space to reflect on the emotional aspects of migration
    • Open Q&A and exchange
